Supplemental Educational Services (SES)
The No Child Left Behind Act (NCLB)
Supplemental Educational Services (SES), a major element of the No Child Left Behind Act of 2001 (NCLB), represents a significant opportunity for NESI to contribute to the academic growth and personal development of students who struggle to achieve success at schools that have been identified as needing improvement according to NCLB standards. Our CommitmentDuring the past few years, NESI has initiated several SES programs in a number of locations across the country; last year more than 2,000 students benefited from our tutoring program. We are proud of the high-quality instruction we provide and are confident that we will continue to positively impact the lives of our students. We are committed to hiring qualified teachers and tutors, maintaining low teacher-to-student ratios, and delivering a math and reading curriculum aligned with state and district standards. NESI recognizes the need for after-school tutoring and takes seriously the responsibility of helping students improve their core academic skills. We are privileged to be an approved SES provider and look forward to many years serving the countless children who need additional support to realize their academic and life dreams.
